The current generation luxury sedan Nissan Maxima recalls back the 2008 version, but it is equipped with more added high-tech features. The 2009 Maxima is totally redesigned gaining more power and fresh styling.

The 2009 Nissan Maxima is offered in two different trim levels- S and the SV versions. Both the trim levels are powered by a standard 3.5 liter V6 engine that produces power up to 290 hp, an increase of around 35 hp in comparison to the 2008 model. The engine in the vehicle is mated to a continuously variable transmission with manual shift gate.

The 2009 Nissan Maxima is equipped with all the safety and entertainment features needed in a luxury car. By seeing the features provided, Nissan Maxima recalls the previous version of luxury car. Some of the safety features equipped in the car include front side air bags, Antilock braking system, curtain side air bags, traction control and antiskid system.

Apart from the safety features, the 2009 model is featured with the amenities like satellite radio with real time traffic information, leather upholstery, moonroof, hard drive for storing music files, audio controls, wireless cell phone link, rear view camera, heated front seats and iPod interface system. Competitor models to the Maxima include Toyota Prius, Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry and Mazda 5.
