This vehicle from the Nissan group was a redesigned model with new features and new styling. The model was designed based on the less expensive small car, Altima. The car was offered in two different trims, namely luxury SL and sporty SE models.

Engine

The aerodynamically designed model was equipped with 3.5 liter V6 engine, which produces 265 hp at an angular speed of 5800 rpm and torque of 255 lb ft at an angular sped of 4400 rpm. The V6 engine used in the model had the bore size of 95.5 mm, stroke of 81.4 and compression ratio of 10.3. It was also included with four valves per cylinder, variable valve camshaft or timing and double overhead cam.

Features

The fuel economy achieved by this car  was 20 miles per gallon in the city premises and 28 miles per gallon on the highway roads. The handling features provided in the 2004 model include
• Spacesaver steel rim internal spare wheel,
• Strut front independent suspension,
• Four wheel antilock braking system,
• Immobilizer,
• Electronic brake distribution, and
• Four disc brakes including two ventilated discs

The sports model of this range was provided with six-speed manual transmission, while the luxury LS model had five-speed automatic transmission. The standard features on both the models include front torso side air bags, antilock four wheel disc brakes and head protecting curtain side air bags. The wheel size of the SE model was 18 inches, while it was only 17 inches for SE wheels.
